We kicked off Sport for Women Day this year with a breakfast for schoolgirls at the Ann Harding Centre, University of Canberra.
Some of Australia's elite sporting heroines were on hand to inspire our future sportswomen. Representatives from sports medicine, media, events and administration advised the young women at the sporting careers expo.
We know there are many pathways to building a sporting career which don't involve being a player on the field - so we made at sure for Sport for Women Day, there was something for everyone.
The Schoolgirls Breakfast captured the imagination of our future sporting champions while also inspiring this younger generation to consider sporting-related careers and to provide the contacts and pathways to make this happen.
