One of the quiet achievers of Australian women's football, Lauren Colthorpe has barely missed a match since her 2005 debut, where the Westfield Matildas won 3-0 against China. A right-footed player hailing from Newcastle, Colthorpe has appeared as a central midfielder but more recently has assumed the position of right fullback, a role she handled with great success as the Westfield Matildas won the AFC Women's Asian Cup in 2010. Colthorpe has also featured at the 2004 FIFA U19 Women's World Championship in Thailand and the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup in China.
