Over the past 10 years Heather Garriock has etched her name into the folklore of the Westfield Matildas' after being capped at the tender age of 16 in 1999. A skillful and attacking left sided player Garriock, or ‰Û÷H' as she is known to team mates, has enjoyed a long list of national team honours, including the Olympic Games Finals in Sydney in 2000 and Athens in 2004, the 2003 and 2007 Women's World Cup, and the 2006 and 2010 AFC Asian Women's Cup, where she played the most minutes of any Westfield Matilda as they went on to be crowned Champions of Asia. During this period Garriock has been capped an impressive 119 times, scoring 20 goals along the way. Like her friend and compatriot, Sarah Walsh, Garriock has enjoyed a long and distinguished career as an elite footballer playing in professional leagues in the USA, Denmark and Australia where she has won league titles with Fortuna Hjorring and Sydney FC.
