Kyah Simon has been identified at every stage of her young career as a superstar of the future, being selected for the Westfield Matildas, Westfield Young Matildas, Westfield Under 17s, Australian Schoolgirls and state and national institutes. A skillful attacking player, Simon has the potential to take on opponents at any level to great effect, utilizing her blistering pace and excellent technique. Since debuting in 2007, Simon has appeared 18 times for the senior side and scored the winning penalty that won the Westfield Matildas the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2010 in China. In 2011 Simon attended her first FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany and lead Australia's goal scoring tally. In a memorable tournament she scored both goals in Australia's 2-1 win over Norway, which saw the team progress to the knock-out phase of the tournament.
