The Aussie Spirit completed the rounds of the ISF XIII Women's World Championships with a five win and two loss record after beating Great Britain today 8-1.

In a game where the Aussie Spirit bats were relatively quiet, it was enough to beat the Great Britain team by the international run rule in five innings. Jodie Bowering, Clare Warwick and Stacey McManus were the only Aussie Spirit players to hit safely, it was the consistent pressure by the Aussie hitters, putting the ball in play and forcing the mistakes from the Great Britain defense. The Aussie Spirit girls scored four runs in the 2nd innings and four runs in the 4th innings.

Kaia Parnaby did a great job on the mound for the Aussie Spirit, allowing only two hits, one walk and striking out five Great Britain batters. Justine Smethurst entered the game in the fifth innings, retiring the Great Britain team to finish the game.
