Caroline Buchanan on the road to Olympic glory

The former Mountain Bike world champion is now ranked as the #1 BMX rider in the world. Congrats Caroline! She's now pretty much assured of games selection after finishing first in her last 3 time trials. Our other BMX ambassador, Melinda McLeod is also doing well and is ranked #4 in the world.

Sally Fitzgibbons wins Rio Surfing Pro

Sally backed up her recent win at Bells with another stylish performance. She's now in striking distance of fellow Australia, Stephanie Gilmore for the world title.

Kasey Brown makes a controversial exit from British Open

Kasey, Australi'shighest rankes squash player and ranked #8 in the world, made a surprise exit from the British Open going down in 5 sets to the unseeded New Zealander, Jaclyn Hawkes.

Power defeated Rockhampton Rockets 106-85 in the Queensland Basketball League.

Our Sevens Rugby Women finish fouth in London

The reigning world champions were disapointed with this result, finishing top of their pool but going down to the Netherlands and Canada in their subsequent games. Ambassadors Alicia Quirk, Debby Hodgkinson and Rebecca Tavo (C) all competed in the tournament.

Opals head in to Olympic preparation camp at the AIS

Lauren Jackson went on record this week saying she's tired of coming second to the Americans at the Olympics and the team is on the quest for gold. Is this finally our time? Also in camp are ambassadors Liz Cambage and Marianna Tolo.

Matildas in training camp

It's going to be crowded in the AIS this weekend with the Matildas also in camp in the lead up to some friendly matches against New Zealand and World Champions, Japan. Ambassadors Ellyse Perry, Ellie Brush, Hayley Raso, Lydia Williams, Melissa Barbieri, Nicole Sykes and Sarah Walsh are all in attendence.

Tickets go on sale for the Sunday 24th June friendly this Friday.
