Q & A

Greatest sporting achievement: 2008 Beijing Olympics Gold Medal as a member of the Female 100 meter medley relay team. 8 individual medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Who is your sporting heroine? Serena Williams for what she has achieved in tennis.

How many hours per week to you train/exercise? I train somewhere between 25-30 hours per week normally. This is mixed up with sessions in the pool. Dry land training and gym work.

What kind of diet or nutrition plan are you on? No planned diet, I just try to eat good foods with a lot of fruit and veg. I have lots of Uncle Tobys fruit fix bars on a daily basis as well to keep my energy levels up.

What do you love about your sport? The competition of racing and improving my times.

If you could change something about your sport, what would it be? Less training and more racing would be good.

What motivates you? Being the best that I can be and striving to be the best at what I do.

Do you have a profession outside of your sport? Not at this stage but I hope to get into fashion/design in the future.

Three words that describe you: Competetive, relaxed, funny.

If I wanted to play your sport, what advice would you give me? Train hard, listen to your coaches, like what you do and have fun.
