Mo'onia Gerrard (born 15 November 1980 in Bathurst, Australia) is a Tongan-Australian netball player. She was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. Gerrard is a current member of the Australian national team, and from 2011 is playing for the New South Wales Swifts in the ANZ Championship.

Who is your sporting heroine? I admire Cathy Freeman

How many hours per week to you train/exercise? 15 to 20 hours a week

What kind of diet or nutrition plan are you on? I have to stick to the greens/salads and the proteins and if I get a sweet tooth craving I go to dried fruit, yoghurt or green tea.

What do you love about your sport? I love that anyone can play Netball at any level and that women set the standard.

If you could change something about your sport, what would it be? Build stadium’s that cater for netball, raise the salary cap in ANZ  Championship, umpires taking it easy on the defenders (less whistle please!) and become professional.

What motivates you? My family

Do you have a profession outside of your sport? I have a clothing line called Monstar where you can buy on line at www.monstar.com.au it caters for junior girls and our Monstar motto is Be Yourself, Be Unique!

Three words that describe you: Casual, Doer, Beach

If I wanted to play your sport, what advice would you give me? Find a club, sign up, be open to where it will takes you. You never know you could of found your best mate and enjoy having a crack.
