Who is your sporting heroine? Anna Meares
How many hours per week to you train/exercise? 15-20hrs
What kind of diet or nutrition plan are you on? I have a great dietitian at the QAS who helps me keep on track with my healthy eating. Everything in moderation – I love food!

If you could change something about your sport, what would it be? More prize money and media coverage especially for women.
What motivates you? Seeing athletes in other sports achieve success with little or no recognition and the feeling of representing Australia
Do you have a profession outside of your sport? Just a professional party rocker for now, hoping to get into Exercise Science next year at university.
Three words that describe you: Determined, inspired and fun
If I wanted to play your sport, what advice would you give me? You will never know what you’re missing out on until you give it a go!
Melinda McLeod Supports Sport for Women Day
"Sport for Women Day is a fantastic initiative to promote the awareness of Australia's elite female athletes and to celebrate women of all ages being physically active through sport.
As a 6 x world champion, in a male dominated sport such as BMX Racing, I very much understand and support the fight for more media coverage and prize money.
I hope that one day, in the not too distant future, it WILL be possible to see a QLD Firebirds game on at prime time or see a sold out Suncorp Stadium for the Brisbane Roar Women.
I am very excited to be involved in Sport for Women Day this year and hopefully many more to come!"
