Greatest sporting achievement: Attending 2010 World Championships/ Winning 2 Championships with Canberra Capitals

Greatest achievement off the field: Finishing year 12 and currently studying a Bachelors degree at University of Canberra

Who is your sporting heroine? Cathy Freeman

How many hours per week to you train/exercise? Around 20 hours

What kind of diet or nutrition plan are you on? I try to eat a bit of meat with lots of vegies and a bit of carbs. If I want dessert, I will eat it. I am pretty lucky with a high metabolism and run around a fair bit, so I can eat a lot of food

What do you love about your sport? Great people you meet and the friends you make and are able to share experiences with. I have been able to travel the world and experience different cultures

If you could change something about your sport, what would it be? The amount of people involved in basketball and supporting it. It is a great sport, which the public would only grow to love if they had more knowledge about it

What motivates you? Family, friends and the team that I am representing. It is something I am honored to be able to do, and many people only dream of

Do you have a profession outside of your sport? Studying a bachelor of Sport, Coaching and Exercise Science

If I wanted to play your sport, what advice would you give me? Basketball is a team sport, so always play for the name on the front of your singlet not the name on the back.

“Sport is a great way to keep both the mind and body healthy. It can be a social activity or a getaway from everyday life. As athletes, women generally receive less support, funding and recognition than their male equivalents, especially in team sport.”
