Like all of her team-mates, Sami made the switch from Alpine Skiing to Ski Cross, which has paid recent dividends. 2011 was a breakthrough year for Sami, recording her first top-10 World Cup performance and personal best end of season ranking.

Further adding to a big 2011, Sami became married to Australian Cross Country skier and 2010 Olympian Ben Sim.

After narrowly missing out on qualifying for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games, Sami is more determined then ever to qualify for Sochi 2014 and showcase her skills on the ultimate stage.

Top 100 Sportswomen Nomination

I've seen hard Sami has worked over the last 12 months with massive improvements achieving two 5th places on the World Cup 2012 tour plus a number of top 10's. She is defiantly on her way to being one of the worlds best skiers and Olympian.
